About me
I have been working as a freelance conference interpreter and translator since 2017 and have had the pleasure of interpreting national and international figures from the worlds of politics, business, research and education.
I grew up bilingual, speaking both German and English, and acquired and established my knowledge of Spanish through an exchange year in Mexico and a bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies.
During and after my studies in conference interpreting at the ZHAW, I worked at SWISS TXT for Swiss national television as a subtitler, respeaker (live subtitling) and speech-to-text interpreter and still subtitle shows every now and then.
I am an active member of the Swiss Interpreters' and Translators' Association (DÜV) and joined its Interpreting Commission in 2018. From 2019 to 2025, I was on the association's board.
For years, I worked as an accredited interpreter for police, public prosecutors and courts and still translate for cantonal authorities.
I regularly attend advanced training courses on topics relevant to my profession and am SQTI certified.
